Queensberry Promotions boss Frank Warren has expressed his excitement following Derek Chisora’s (36-13, 23 KOs) victory over Otto Wallin (27-3, 15 KOs) and revealed that he wants to set up a title fight for the veteran heavyweight’s 50th professional bout.
“Whatever he wants, we’ll make it happen. We’ll sit down, negotiate, and make it a reality.
He just won an IBF eliminator, and that belt belongs to Daniel Dubois, so he’s already in position.
Whatever Derek wants to do, we’re on board. He put on an incredible performance tonight, and I can’t even describe how proud I am of the way he fought. And credit to Otto as well—because it takes two to make a great fight,” Warren stated.
On February 8, Chisora secured a unanimous decision victory over Wallin, setting the stage for what could be the biggest fight of his career.
