Queensberry Promotions boss Frank Warren commented on the appearance of his fighter, former heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury, at the boxing event held on February 8 in Manchester, UK.
– Tyson was ringside with you tonight. Did you discuss his future?
– No, we didn’t talk about that. He just came to support his cousin, watched the fight, enjoyed it, and left.
– He looked to be in good shape.
– Yes, he’s in great shape. Right now, he’s relaxing and spending time with his family. As I’ve said before, last year was tough on him—three grueling training camps, plus the cut that forced the postponement of his first fight with Usyk.
When Tyson prepares for a fight, he gives it his all—he isolates himself from his family and kids, makes a lot of sacrifices. But now, he's financially secure and just enjoying life.
He does, and soon enough, people will find out what they are. I don’t think they have anything to do with boxing, but it’s going to be something really interesting.
So, as things stand, I don’t expect him to return to the ring this year. And honestly, I don’t think he needs to—he should just enjoy whatever he decides to do.
In 2024, Tyson Fury suffered back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk, after which he announced his retirement from professional boxing.
