Warren on Fury’s Career End: "I Will Fully Support Him"

Frank Warren, head of Queensberry Promotions, responded to speculation about the potential retirement of his client, former unified heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

"If Tyson wants to fight, he will fight. If he doesn’t want to, he’s still a winner. If they fight Joshua, they’ll sell out all the seats.

Personally, I only want it to happen if Tyson wants it. If he doesn’t want to, who cares? These guys have nothing to prove. They’ve had outstanding careers. They’ve represented the UK brilliantly and have been phenomenal fighters.

They’ve got plenty of money in the bank. They’re financially set. They don’t need to fight anymore.

If he (Fury) wants to retire, he can. He retired once before and came back three months later. He couldn’t handle it. If he decides to retire, I will fully support him," said Warren to Seconds Out.

Before the rematch against Oleksandr Usyk, the Briton stated he would retire if he lost. He lost to the Ukrainian champion by unanimous decision.
