“A Historic Fight” – Frank Warren on Usyk vs. Dubois Rematch

Founder and head of Queensberry Promotions Frank Warren shared his thoughts on the upcoming heavyweight rematch between IBF champion Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) and WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO titleholder Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs).

“I’m thrilled to be able to stage this historic fight for the undisputed championship for Daniel at Wembley Stadium. It’s an honor to promote a sporting event of this magnitude and a privilege to host a champion of Oleksandr’s caliber. I want to thank Oleksandr and his Ready to Fight team for their great cooperation in making this bout possible.

I’m confident we’ll see the very best of British boxing — not only from Daniel inside the ring, but also from the unmatched fans who will pack the country’s largest sporting arena,” said Warren.

The rematch between Usyk and Dubois is set for July 19 at Wembley Stadium in London, United Kingdom. At stake will be the title of undisputed heavyweight champion of the world (over 90.7 kg).

In addition, it’s worth noting that in December, Oleksandr Usyk defeated Tyson Fury by unanimous decision in their rematch. Meanwhile, in February, Daniel Dubois was scheduled to defend his title against Joseph Parker, but was forced to withdraw due to illness.
