Frank Warren Sets Condition for Usyk–Chisora Fight

Queensberry Promotions founder and head Frank Warren shared his thoughts on a potential clash between undisputed Heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and Dereck Chisora.

– We may find ourselves in a situation where, looking at the picture in the Heavyweight division and all the changes happening around it, the IBF could remain the last mandatory belt among all four. And we could very well see Oleksandr Usyk against Dereck Chisora. Is that possible?

– Well, if he (Oleksandr Usyk) gives up all the other belts and keeps only this one, and if it’s the last one, then yes, it can be done. If that’s the decision he makes.

In July, 38-year-old Oleksandr Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs) won his rematch against Daniel Dubois by knockout in the fifth round, reclaiming the title of undisputed Heavyweight champion.

Forty-one-year-old Dereck Chisora (36-13, 23 KOs) last fought in February, when he defeated Otto Wallin by unanimous decision in an IBF eliminator.
