Warren Reveals How Many Tickets Have Already Been Sold for Usyk vs Dubois

Frank Warren, head of Queensberry Promotions, has shared how ticket sales are going for the July 19 rematch between his fighter, IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois, and WBC, WBA, WBO, and IBO titleholder Oleksandr Usyk.

– I think we’ve reached 69,000, almost 70,000 tickets sold, and we’ve still got two months until the fight. So it’s all pointing to a full sellout.

– Fantastic. Were you surprised?

– No, otherwise we wouldn’t be putting this fight on there. Look at his last fight — he fought in front of 96,000 people at Wembley. Probably 95% were cheering for AJ.

And I remember one of the journalists saying, “When AJ walks out, everyone will be behind him.” I said, “Yeah, but after the fight, they’ll all be behind Dubois.”

And that’s exactly what happened.

People watched the fight and they started supporting him. They proved it by paying for tickets. It’s hard not to root for him. He’s a British heavyweight, a world champion, and he’s tremendous. You’ve never seen him in a boring fight.

The Usyk vs Dubois 2 clash on July 19 will be their second meeting. In their first bout, Usyk knocked Dubois out.
