"I Would Take That Fight." Frampton Advises Joshua's Opponent

Former world champion Carl Frampton has advised British heavyweight Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) on his next opponent, stating that Croatian boxer Filip Hrgovic (17-0, 14 KOs) would be the ideal matchup.

"If I were AJ, I would take the fight with Filip Hrgovic. I think Hrgovic is tailor-made for Joshua. It's a very winnable fight for Anthony. I see him as a big favorite in this matchup. This fight will maintain his momentum while he waits. He can't just wait for Usyk and Fury; they might have 3 fights. He needs to fight," said Frampton.

It was previously reported that Hrgovic has two options for his next fight. The first is as a backup in case one of the participants in the Usyk vs. Fury fight on May 18th is unable to compete. The second option is a bout against Daniel Dubois, with whom he is set to meet on June 1st.

Anthony Joshua has not named his next opponent after knocking out Francis Ngannou on March 8th.
