Four Ukrainian women made it to the finals of the 2022 European Boxing Championship held in Budva, Montenegro.
Tetyana Kob defeated the Italian Olena Savchuk in the semi-finals in the category up to 52 kilograms. Maria Bova (up to 63 kg) was stronger than Sonia Harutyunyan from Armenia. Anastasia Kovalchuk (up to 54 kg) won the fight against Stanimira Petrova from Bulgaria. And Maria Lovchinska (over 81 kg) defeated Senkur Demir from Turkey in one and a half rounds.
Two more Ukrainian women stopped at the semi-final stage and won bronze medals. Raisa Piskun (up to 81 kg) lost to Gabriela Stonkune from Lithuania, and Anastasia Chernokolenko (up to 75 kg) could not pass Elzbeta Wojcik from Poland.
The final matches of Euro-2022 in Montenegro will take place on Saturday, October 22.
