Floyd and Pacquiao Name Their P4P Leaders

Former five-division world champion Floyd Mayweather and former eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao shared their opinions on who they believe is the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world. For Mayweather, it's WBA, WBC, and WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs).

"We can put Tank (Gervonta Davis) in the top-10 P4P rankings; he should be somewhere up there. And Canelo (Saul Alvarez) did something amazing when he moved up to light heavyweight and became a champion. I didn't even expect him to move up to that weight, and he did it. At the moment, I would put Terence Crawford in the number one spot," Floyd told the YouTube channel Boxing Mane.

As for Pacquiao, the Filipino legend believes the best boxer is Japan's undisputed super bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue (27-0, 24 KOs). "For me, it's Inoue," Manny told Seconds Out.

In July 2023, Terence Crawford defended his undisputed welterweight title by stopping Errol Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) in the 9th round. Crawford's next fight is set for August 3 in Los Angeles, USA, against WBA super welterweight champion Israil Madrimov (10-0-1, 7 KOs).

In May, Naoya Inoue defended his undisputed status with a 6th-round TKO victory over Luis Nery (35-2, 27 KOs). Inoue's next opponent has not been officially announced.
