According to Pro Box TV, the next exhibition bout for 46-year-old former five-division champion Floyd Mayweather will reportedly be against former four-weight world champion Mikey Garcia.
Previously, insider Dan Rafael reported that Mayweather's next exhibition fight could take place on December 9 in the USA at the MGM Grand Arena:
"One of the things I heard while in Vegas for Canelo vs. Charlo was the possibility of a Showtime PPV event on December 9th at the MGM Grand, which would include Floyd Mayweather's exhibition, as well as bouts for Danny Garcia and Keith Thurman," Rafael wrote.
There have also been discussions about the broadcast of the event on Showtime.
Floyd ended a glittering professional career in 2017 after defeating Conor McGregor. In June of this year, he participated in an exhibition bout against John Gotti III, which ended in a massive brawl. Garcia, on the other hand, last entered the ring in 2021, suffering defeat then announcing his retirement.
Mayweather also stated that the card may feature 17-year-old Carmel Moton (1-0, 1 KO), who made his debut on the Canelo vs. Charlo card.
It is worth noting that Showtime announced that from 2024, it will cease operations.
