On May 17, at Cooper Box Arena in London, UK, British heavyweights Johnny Fisher (13-0, 11 KOs) and David Allen (23-7-2, 18 KOs) will meet again in a much-anticipated rematch in the heavyweight division (over 90.7 kg).
Their first bout, held on December 21, 2024, ended in a split decision win for Fisher, but fight stats cast doubt on the verdict.
Although Fisher was the more active fighter, throwing 395 punches to Allen’s 303, he landed fewer shots — 125 versus 135 — and had a lower accuracy rate, with 31.6% compared to Allen’s 44.6%.
Allen excelled in both jab and power punch accuracy
He landed 32.9% of his jabs (28 out of 85), while Fisher landed just 13.8% (22 out of 159). In power punches, Allen connected with 49.1% (107 out of 218), slightly ahead of Fisher’s 43.6% (103 out of 236).
The fifth round saw a key moment when Allen scored a knockdown. Throughout the fight, he also landed more head shots — 116 to Fisher’s 81. Fisher’s only significant edge was in body shots, where he led 44 to 19.
Fisher’s most accurate round was the seventh (41%), while his worst was the third (25.9%). Allen peaked in round seven as well (59%) and had his lowest accuracy in round two (30.8%).
