On October 24, participants of the upcoming boxing tournament, headlined by the showdown between WBC world champion Tyson Fury and former UFC champion Francis Ngannou in a boxing match, arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The highly-anticipated fight is set for October 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. We previously covered the week's major media events here.
Ngannou was the first to arrive and expressed his feelings on having Mike Tyson in his camp: “It was very helpful mentally, physically, technically. I mean, I do believe if I have one third of Mike Tyson’s technique, I’ll be the best boxer of my generation." said Ngannou.
He then responded to a question about Oleksandr Usyk: "A fight with Usyk in the winter if I win? If I beat Fury, I would give him a rematch. If he wins, I would want him to give me a rematch. I believe that a fight against Tyson is better for me now than a fight against Usyk."
Fury arrived last and claimed the title of the most powerful puncher, while explaining how he intends to defeat Ngannou: "I'm the strongest puncher in combat sports. I can stand and exchange blows with anyone. I did that with Wilder. I did that with Vladimir Klitschko.
He's got that glittery suit on, like a little girl. Now I'm going to knock this big sausage out!"
