Fernando Martinez – Kazuto Ioka Rematch Canceled

The rematch between Fernando Martinez (17-0, 9 KOs) and Kazuto Ioka (31-3-1, 16 KOs) for the WBA World title in the super flyweight division (up to 52.2 kg) will not take place.

Martinez came down with the flu and missed both the press conference and the training session.

The bout was scheduled to be the main event of the show in Japan on December 31.

In their first fight, which took place in July, Martinez won by unanimous decision.
