Fanyan: "Usyk Walks with God"

Ukrainian WBF light welterweight champion (up to 63.5 kg) Aram Fanyan (24-2, 6 KOs) commented on Oleksandr Usyk's (22-0, 14 KOs) victory over Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) in the fight for the undisputed heavyweight championship (over 90.7 kg).

"It was simply an incredible fight that rewrote the history of world and Ukrainian sports. At the beginning of the bout, I was watching and couldn't figure out how one could win against such a massive opponent. But Oleksandr Usyk just walks with God; he has a strong guardian angel helping him. I congratulate him and his team on this incredible victory. I also congratulate all Ukrainian fans," said Fanyan.

The fight lasted all 12 rounds and ended with Usyk winning by split decision. Oleksandr Usyk is the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis, who achieved the feat in a rematch against Evander Holyfield on November 13, 1999.
