Ex-Klitschko Manager: "Fury Has Already Passed His Peak"

In an interview with World Boxing News, Bernd Bente, the former manager of the Klitschko brothers, commented on a possible fight between former champion Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) and WBC heavyweight (over 90,7 kg) champion Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs).

"I said last year that AJ could potentially become a three-time world heavyweight champion. I stated that he needed to regain confidence in his strengths. Now, it seems to have happened, especially thanks to his collaboration with Ben Davison.

AJ's performance against Ngannou was splendid. His jab finally worked well, and unlike Fury, he punished every weakness of Ngannou harshly.

I think AJ can be the dominating figure for the next few years because he has regained confidence in himself and has a trusting relationship with Ben Davison.

Fury also has a wonderful coach in SugarHill Steward, but his influence on him is too little because Fury is too undisciplined and inconsistent. I also believe that Fury has already passed his peak.

For these reasons, I predict a clear victory for AJ in a potential fight with Fury," Bente said.

On March 8, Anthony Joshua knocked out Francis Ngannou (0-2) in the second round.

Tyson Fury's next fight will take place on May 18 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) for the title of undisputed world heavyweight champion against the holder of the WBO, WBA, IBO, and IBF titles, Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs).
