Ex-Joshua Coach Knows the Reason Behind the Brit's Success

Trainer Robert Garcia, who worked with former world champion Brit Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs), explained why Anthony successfully came back after two consecutive losses to Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.

"The way Anthony is performing, he can fight anybody. I think he can beat anyone right now. Activity is key. I know his coach, he's a great mentor. He found a different psychology, something else for Anthony, but the most important thing is activity. And it's the same with any fighter. Take me, Derrick James, or any other coach, if we have a fighter who hasn't fought for a year or a year and a half, it's going to be hard, especially when they go up against tough opponents. Against a world-class opponent, such a fighter won't be able to perform well. Joshua could be with any coach. Now he's with Ben Davison. He's a good coach, focused, fully committed. Right now, he's probably the best coach in England and Europe. And he's doing everything he can to show that Anthony still has it. And he's proved that," Garcia said. Under Ben Davison's guidance, Joshua scored knockout victories over Otto Wallin and Francis Ngannou. Anthony's next opponent is yet unknown.
