Tony Bellew, a former world champion, has thrown down the gauntlet to current WBC bridgeweight champion, Lukasz Ruzhansky, seeking a fight. Bellew, the 40-year-old British boxer who last stepped in the ring in 2018, made his challenge public via his social media account.
"I think you're in need of a fight that goes past 4 rounds. I’m bored and don’t see anything that suggests you can do it against me! What do you think?" wrote Bellew in his message to Ruzhansky.
Bellew, renowned for his aggressive style and potent punch, hasn't boxed since November 2018, when he was defeated by Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk in an early-round knockout. Despite the extended hiatus, he views himself as ready for another face-off in the ring.
Ruzhansky, as of now, has yet to respond to Bellew's challenge.
