"Age is Just a Number Now": Former Champion on Lomachenko's Age

Former world champion Danny Garcia (37-3, 21 KOs) shared his thoughts on the age of the new IBF and IBO champion, Vasyl Lomachenko (18-3, 12 KOs).

"Congratulations, Loma. 36 is no longer considered old in boxing these days. The selection of opponents has become more even. Age is just a number," Garcia wrote.

Lomachenko is 36 years old. He secured a victory over the former undisputed lightweight champion, George Kambosos (21-2, 10 KOs), by stopping him in the 11th round.

Other lightweight champions, Gervonta Davis and Shakur Stevenson, have immediately challenged Lomachenko to a fight.
