On October 12 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, a bout for the IBO world middleweight title (up to 72.5 kg) took place between Chris Eubank Jr. (34-3, 25 KOs) and Kamil Szeremeta (25-3-2, 8 KOs).
Eubank had not stepped into the ring for over a year, following his technical knockout loss to Liam Smith in 2023. This fight marked his first since signing with Ben Shalom's promotional company, Boxxer. Szeremeta had settled for a draw against Abel Mina in February.
Kamil was knocked down in the first round but managed to continue the fight. Subsequent knockdowns occurred in the 6th round and twice in the 7th round. After the last knockdown, the referee stopped the contest—TKO in the 7th.
This is the third defeat in the career of the Polish boxer, who has previously lost only to Gennady Golovkin and Jaime Munguia.
