According to iFL TV, British middleweight (up to 72,5 kg) Chris Eubank Jr. (33-3, 24 KOs) has become a free agent.
His previous promoter was Callum Sauerland’s Wassermann Boxing.
iFL TV also reports that Eubank Jr.'s team is negotiating a middleweight bout with the WBO, WBC, and WBA super welterweight (up to 66,67 kg) champion Terence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs).
Sources from Ready To Fight ambassadors – Boxing King Media have previously indicated that a deal for a fight between Chris and Terence is close to being finalized, with plans to hold the bout in the summer. The venue and location are yet to be announced.
Terence Crawford last entered the ring in July of the previous year against Errol Spence Jr. (28-1, 22 KOs) and won by technical knockout. Eubank Jr. faced Liam Smith (33-4-1, 20 KOs) twice last year, exchanging technical knockouts. Chris’s victorious fight was prepared by Terence’s coach, Brian McIntyre.
