Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority chairman Turki Alalshikh has shared details about the highly anticipated showdown between IBO middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr. (34-3, 25 KOs) and Conor Benn (23-0, 14 KOs).
According to Alalshikh, the winner of this all-British clash could earn a shot at Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (62-2-2, 39 KOs), the reigning WBA, WBC, and WBO super middleweight champion (168 lbs / 76.2 kg).
"Whoever wins, we will work toward making a fight with Canelo happen in the future. If Eubank wins, he could get his chance against Canelo in early 2026.
We have two major press conferences planned: one in Manchester on Tuesday and another in London on Thursday—it’s going to be a massive event. Yes, there is a rematch clause in the contract. Why not? But right now, we're focused on the first fight. Let’s see what happens—I believe it will be something incredible," Alalshikh stated.
The bout between Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn is set for April 26 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, UK.
Meanwhile, on May 3, Canelo Alvarez will defend his undisputed super middleweight championship against William Scull.
