BoxingScene: Rafael Espinoza and Robeisy Ramirez Set for Rematch

According to BoxingScene, Top Rank has reached an agreement for a fight between WBO super featherweight champion Rafael Espinoza (25-0, 21 KOs) and Robeisy Ramirez (14-2, 9 KOs).

The rematch is slated for December 7 in Arizona, USA, on the undercard of the Emanuel Navarrete vs. Oscar Valdez fight.

The first Mexican-Cuban clash took place in December 2023 and is considered one of the best fights of the year, with both boxers hitting the canvas. Ultimately, it ended in a majority decision victory for Espinoza.

According to Compubox statistics, in that bout, Espinoza threw 995 punches and landed 222 (22.3%). Ramirez threw 376 punches, with 119 landing (31.6%).

The Mexican landed 43 jabs out of 355 thrown (12.1%), while Robeisy connected with 18 jabs out of 79 thrown (22.8%).

Rafael landed 179 power shots out of 640 thrown (28%). In comparison, the Cuban connected with 101 out of 297 power punches (34%).

Espinoza landed 53 body shots, all of which were power shots. Ramirez scored 16 body shots, with 14 of those being power shots.

Both fighters scored knockout victories in June: Rafael Espinoza defeated Sergio Sanchez in the 4th round, while Robeisy Ramirez stopped Brandon Leon Benitez in the 7th round.
