Ennis Could Face Crawford

Eddie Hearn, the head of Matchroom Boxing, has announced that their new signee, American IBF welterweight champion Jaron Ennis (31-0, 28 KOs), may face WBO, WBC, and WBA champion Terence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) within the next 6-12 months.

"Jaron will fight for all the belts at welterweight before moving up to middleweight. Now is the perfect time to sort out the welterweight division. The fight against Crawford could happen within six to twelve months. It’s the biggest showdown in boxing," Hearn stated. When discussing the potential bout, Ennis looked him in the eye and said, "I will beat him." Jaron joined Matchroom Boxing in April 2024 and is planning his next fight for this summer.
