Ennis and López Teams Negotiating Potential Bout

IBF welterweight champion Jaron "Boots" Ennis (33-0, 29 KOs) and WBO junior welterweight titleholder Teofimo López (21-1, 13 KOs) are in discussions for a potential fight. The bout is being considered as a contest for Ennis's IBF world title, according to Top Rank founder and CEO Bob Arum.

Arum stated that they have approached Matchroom Boxing head Eddie Hearn with a proposal to organize the fight as a joint pay-per-view event on DAZN or ESPN.

In June, Teofimo López defeated Steve Claggett by unanimous decision, while Jaron Ennis secured a unanimous decision victory over Karen Chukhadzhian in November.
