Likely Date for Ennis vs. Chukhadzhian Rematch Announced

Matchroom Boxing CEO Eddie Hearn provided updates on the next bouts for WBC super flyweight champion (up to 52.2 kg) Jesse Rodriguez (20-0, 13 KOs) and IBF welterweight titleholder (up to 66.7 kg) Jaron Ennis (32-0, 29 KOs), both of whom are represented by Hearn.

According to the promoter, both fighters will have their next matches in the United States. Ennis is expected to return to the ring on November 9 in Philadelphia, with mandatory challenger Karen Chukhadzhian (24-2, 13 KOs) being the most likely opponent.

Chukhadzhian’s team won the purse bid, but Hearn may offer a higher amount to stage the fight in the U.S.

"Rodriguez will fight next in the U.S. We’re planning a big show in November in the U.S., possibly on the East Coast.

We want to build on the success we had with Ennis in Philadelphia. We’re in talks with Karen’s team (for the rematch with Jaron), so we’ll see what happens next," Hearn told iFL TV.
