Elijah Garcia Edges Terrell Gausha in Close Decision

On the night of March 23, at Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, American middleweights Elijah Garcia (17-1, 13 KOs) and Terrell Gausha (24-5-1, 12 KOs) squared off in a 10-round bout at 72.6 kg (160 lbs).

The fight went the full distance and ended with a split decision victory for Garcia.

Scorecards: 95–94 (Garcia), 95–94 (Gausha), 96–93 (Garcia).

Garcia was knocked down in the first round, but recovered well and did enough to sway two of the three judges.

This win marks Garcia’s bounce-back performance after suffering the only loss of his career to Kyrone Davis in June 2024.

For Gausha, it’s his second consecutive defeat.
