Eimantas Stanionis to Fight on September 27

Former WBA Welterweight World Champion Eimantas Stanionis (15-1, 9 KOs) will return to the ring on September 27.

According to BoxingScene, the Lithuanian will face South African fighter Jabulani Makhense (16-2, 8 KOs) in a 10-round bout taking place in Stanionis’s hometown of Kaunas, Lithuania.

Stanionis lost his title in April against Jaron Ennis, hitting the canvas in the sixth round before his corner stopped the fight at the end of the round (RTD 6).

In June, Jabulani Makhense scored a first-round technical knockout victory over Charles Misanjo.
