Puerto Rican super middleweight boxer Edgar Berlanga (22-1, 17 KOs) has expressed his desire to face WBA lightweight champion Gervonta "Tank" Davis (30-0, 28 KOs).
"I want to fight Tank next year. I'll go on a strict diet, just like 50 Cent did, and we'll set up a fight at 150 pounds (68 kg)," Berlanga wrote.
In September, Berlanga lost to Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (62-2-2, 39 KOs) via unanimous decision.
In June, Gervonta Davis knocked out Frank Martin (18-1, 12 KOs) in the eighth round. Davis’s next fight is scheduled against Lamont Roach (25-1-1, 10 KOs) on March 1, after being postponed from the original date of December 14.
