Promoter Eddie Hearn said that former world champion Anthony Joshua is ready to fight in the ring with WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.
"We would be open to fighting Fury. If Usyk doesn't fight Fury, AJ will fight Tyson next summer if he beats Franklin. I have no idea if the Fury-Usyk fight will take place or not. I can only express my opinion. But I say if this fight doesn’t happen, we’ll take the Fury fight. [Joshua - Ed] accepts this fight, he accepts the Wilder fight.”
Anthony Joshua's next fight is set to take place on April 1st at the O2 Arena in London against Jermaine Franklin. This will mark Joshua's return to the ring following his second loss to Oleksandr Usyk. As he prepares for this upcoming bout, Joshua has been training under the guidance of American boxing coach Derrick James.
Following his defeat to Usyk, Joshua was in talks to face WBC titleholder Tyson Fury, but negotiations ultimately fell through. The British boxer had also considered a potential matchup with Dillian Whyte.
