Eddie Hearn Reveals How Many Fights Anthony Joshua Will Have in 2025

Promoter of former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) and head of Matchroom Boxing, Eddie Hearn, shared when his client’s next fight might take place.

“The fight is planned for May or June. He hasn’t returned to full training yet, but he’ll likely be ready to start in January.

Right now, there’s the Dubois vs. Joseph Parker fight on February 22, and we have to see what Tyson Fury decides. We’re not in a hurry. Joshua will fight twice in 2025: once in the summer and another time in the winter. If we can’t negotiate a fight with Dubois, and if Fury refuses, we’ll have to pick another opponent.

Will these fights happen? I can’t speak on AJ’s behalf about whom exactly he’s willing to face, but I know his main focus is on Daniel Dubois or Tyson Fury. If he can fight Fury, it means he’s basically faced every key fighter of his era,” Hearn said.

Anthony Joshua last stepped into the ring on September 21 against Daniel Dubois for the IBF heavyweight title, losing by knockout in the fifth round.
