Matchroom Boxing head Eddie Hearn revealed who he would like to see as the next opponent for 20-year-old British Heavyweight prospect Moses Itauma.
«Moses is a very good boxer. If you beat him, you’ve beaten a 20-year-old. If you lose, you’ve lost to a 20-year-old, and your career is finished. I think Moses still has a lot of work to do. He’s very talented, but we don’t know yet if he can meet all the demands to become a real star and champion in the division. What kind of chin does he have? How does he handle things when it really gets tough?
He may well be able to answer all those questions — I don’t doubt it — but he has to show it, and we’ve seen time and again over the years how it doesn’t always go that way. The truth is, Moses hasn’t fought anyone serious yet. I want to see Moses against Agit Kabayel, against Martin Bakole, against Jarrell Miller. Someone who can take him four, five, six rounds and ask a few questions.
Eventually Moses will become a Heavyweight world champion… But I would take it a little slower,» said Hearn.
On August 16, Moses Itauma (13-0, 11 KOs) defeated Dillian Whyte by first-round technical knockout.
