Eddie Hearn Offers Wilder Another Opponent Instead of Usyk

The head of the promotional company Matchroom Boxing, Eddie Hearn, discussed who he would like to propose as an opponent for former world champion Deontay Wilder.

“Maybe the Usyk versus Wilder fight will happen. Oleksandr is just looking for a commercial fight that will earn him money. He deserves it.

I don't think it will be a competitive fight. I would like Wilder to agree to another bout—perhaps against Chisora. I believe that would be a great fight. And then he would probably move on.

But, in my opinion, given what we have seen lately, his fight with Usyk will not be competitive,” said Hearn.

Chisora previously mentioned that Wilder declined a bout in December 2025. That fight could have been the 50th and final one in Dereck's career.
