Eddie Hearn: "I Would Bring Teofimo to Manchester for Catterall to Whip His Ass"

Head of Matchroom Boxing, Eddie Hearn, who represents British fighter Jack Catterall (30-1, 13 KOs), is convinced that his client deserves a title fight after his triumphant performances.

Hearn expressed a desire for Catterall's next fight to be against the winner of the bout between IBF super lightweight champion Liam Paro (25-0, 15 KOs) and Richardson Hitchins (18-0, 7 KOs), or WBO titleholder Teofimo Lopez (21-1, 13 KOs).

"Catterall? This guy is probably the most underrated fighter in the world. In 11 months, he’s beaten Jorge Linares, Josh Taylor, and now Regis Prograis. All of that in 11 months. This guy deserves a shot at the world championship title. On December 7 in Puerto Rico, Liam Paro will fight Richardson Hitchins. We want to propose a fight with Jack Catterall for the winner of that bout.

We’re also interested in the WBO title. Jack should be number one in the WBO rankings. I would love to bring Teofimo Lopez to Manchester for Catterall to whip his ass," said Hearn.

On October 26, Jack Catterall won against Regis Prograis (29-3, 24 KOs) by unanimous decision.

In June, Teofimo Lopez won a unanimous decision against Steve Claggett (39-8-2, 27 KOs).
