Matchroom Boxing head Eddie Hearn, who represents former world champion Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs), has named two opponents his client is interested in facing.
According to the promoter, Joshua is open to either a rematch with IBF heavyweight titleholder Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) or a fight with Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs).
“He’ll either fight Daniel Dubois or Tyson Fury. Those are the only two bouts I see for him. He wanted to return to the ring on February 22 to face Dubois, but he wasn’t 100% ready. He still has a few minor injuries from that last fight. He can’t start training camp yet, and he needs to if he’s planning a fight on February 22,” Hearn said.
In September, Dubois knocked Joshua out in the 5th round. Preliminary reports suggest that Dubois’s next fight is scheduled for February 22, with interim WBO champion Joseph Parker (35-3, 23 KOs) as the likely opponent.
On December 21, Tyson Fury will have a rematch against WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO champion Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs).
