Eddie Hearn Agrees to 5 vs. 5 Tournament Against Oscar De La Hoya

Matchroom Boxing's head, Eddie Hearn, has accepted the proposal from Golden Boy Promotions founder, Oscar De La Hoya, to organize a 5 vs. 5 tournament.

"This simplifies things for you:

  1. Ennis vs. Ortiz – agreed.
  2. Munguia vs. Pacheco – he left you for Top Rank, but if you can bring him back, I'm in.
  3. Shakur vs. Zepeda – agreed.
  4. Duarte vs. Haney – Devin isn't officially with us, but I'm happy with the fight and ready to discuss it with him.
  5. Winner of Ramirez vs. Barboza against Catterall – agreed," Hearn wrote on his Twitter.

The Briton has prior experience with such tournaments. In a competition against Frank Warren's Queensberry Promotions, Hearn's team did not secure a single victory.
