Eddie Hearn Opposes Tyson-Paul Fight

The head of Matchroom Boxing, Eddie Hearn, believes that the fight between YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul (10-1, 7 KOs) and former undisputed champion Mike Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs) should not take place.

"Mike Tyson retired from boxing 20 years ago when he was utterly exhausted—he was completely spent. Two decades have passed since Tyson left the sport, and now he's stepping into the ring again.

If anyone thinks Tyson should be fighting at this age, they either have no emotional attachment to him or are simply foolish. God bless Tyson—he's a legend and one of my favorite fighters. But I have to be honest: this fight should not happen," said Hearn.

The 8-round exhibition fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson is scheduled for November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, USA. The fight was originally set for July 20 but was postponed due to a flare-up of Tyson's ulcer.

The fight is officially sanctioned as a professional bout in the heavyweight division (over 90.7 kg), and the result will be recorded in the fighters' records. The event will be streamed by Netflix.
