British boxer Joe Joyce said he is not ready to fight WBC champion Tyson Fury on December 3 if Anthony Joshua refuses to fight Tyson.
At the same time, Joyce emphasized that he is ready to fight Joshua at the end of the year. Joe announced a possible fight with Anthony on December 17.
“If Fury and AJ don't fight, then I'm in the game. On December 3rd [it will be] difficult for me [to fight] Fury. But Eddie Hearn can call Frank Warren and I'll fight Joshua on December 17th," Joe wrote on Twitter.
Joyce knocked out Joseph Parker and became the interim WBO heavyweight champion. After the victory over Parker, the Brit challenged Oleksandr Usyk to a fight.
Fury approached Joshua with a proposal to complete negotiations on a joint fight in the near future. The preliminary date for the match is December 3.
Tyson's father John Fury said that his son is considering three candidates to replace Joshua: Filip Hrgovic, Andy Ruiz, and Luis Ortiz.
