The Dubois team has responded to the WBA's decision regarding the outcome of the fight against Usyk and plan to appeal it

Frank Warren, the British promoter representing heavyweight contender Daniel Dubois, has commented on the World Boxing Association's (WBA) decision to reject their team's appeal concerning the result of the bout against Oleksandr Usyk.

"We've reviewed the decision, and we will challenge it because they didn't address the main reason for our complaint. It was about how much time the referee gave Usyk and his instructions.

They didn't even consider this issue. It is not mentioned in any of the documents they provided. They did not even consider it. So we will continue to try to do what is right for our fighter," Warren said in an interview with iFL TV.

In the 5th round, the British fighter struck the Ukrainian below the belt. The referee allowed Usyk to recover – according to the regulations, in such cases, boxer's are allowed to recover from this kind of blow for up to 5 minutes. The Dubois team insists that the hit was to the body – in accordance with the rules.
