Dubois: "I Was Surprised When Usyk Turned the Fight Around"

British boxer Daniel Dubois (20-2, 19 KOs) shared his thoughts on the victory of undisputed world heavyweight champion (over 90.7 kg) Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) over former WBC titleholder Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs).

"Forget who won, it was a wonderful fight. Fury showed his resilience, and he survived. It’s like a memory, Tyson came back into the fight again. It was a great fight, and the best man won either way. I was surprised when Usyk turned the fight around," said Dubois.

On the night of May 19, Oleksandr Usyk defeated Tyson Fury by split decision to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. The Ukrainian is the first undisputed champion in this division since November 13, 9, when Lennox Lewis defeated Evander Holyfield in their rematch.

The bout between Daniel Dubois and Filip Hrgović (17-0, 14 KOs) will take place on June 1 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the 5 vs 5 tournament between promotional companies Matchroom Boxing and Queensberry Promotions.
