Dubois: «I’m Ready to Put Hrgović to Sleep»

On June 1 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the 5 vs. 5 tournament between promotional companies Matchroom Boxing and Queensberry Promotions, a heavyweight (over 90.7 kg) bout will take place between Daniel Dubois (20-2, 19 KOs) and Filip Hrgović (17-0, 14 KOs).

Ahead of the fight, the Croatian stated, «I see he (Dubois) has big biceps, but I don’t see any big balls. In the ring, you fight with balls and heart, not with biceps.»

The Brit didn’t stay silent and responded to his future opponent.

«You’ll find out soon enough – I’ll put you to sleep. I’m ready for Hrgović. I’m ready to put on a show and send him to sleep. I’m 100% confident and ready for this opportunity,» said Dubois.

Daniel Dubois last fought in December last year, winning by technical knockout against Jarrell Miller (26-1-1, 22 KOs). Filip Hrgović fought on the same card, winning by technical knockout against Mark de Mori (41-3-2, 36 KOs).
