IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) shared his expectations for the showdown against the WBA, WBC, WBO and IBO titleholder Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs).
“He’s 38 years old. And no matter how fresh and young he might feel in training, I have to drag every bit of that wear and tear, that age, out of him and show what a young 27-year-old heavyweight can really do. I’m looking forward to proving it.
I truly feel at my best—renewed and ready to deliver the greatest performance of my life that night. I’m world champion now, but I believe I can unlock even more. I haven’t reached my peak yet. So I just need to get in there and tear those belts off Usyk. With those belts comes great responsibility, ” said Dubois.
The clash for the undisputed heavyweight crown between Daniel Dubois and Oleksandr Usyk is set for 19 July at Wembley Stadium in London, United Kingdom. Detailed analysis and full fight statistics are available at the link.
