Duarte Secures Opponent for April 27 Tournament

Golden Boy Promotions has announced another fight for the boxing evening scheduled for April 27 in the USA. 28-year-old American Oscar Duarte (26-2-1, 21 KOs) will face off against 31-year-old compatriot Joseph Diaz (33-5-1, 15 KOs).

"I have started training for the fight on April 27th in Fresno, California against JoJo Diaz. I am very motivated and very happy. I will give the fans the best fight," Duarte stated.

In his last bout, Oscar lost by knockout in the 8th round to Ryan Garcia in a catchweight fight. Joseph Diaz last entered the ring in February 2024, losing by split decision to Jesus Antonio Perez Campos.

The fight will take place as part of a tournament that has already confirmed the bouts Ramirez vs. Barthelemy and Ortiz vs. Dalmor.
