Down Goes Molina: Herring Reclaims Throne with Explosive KO!

Ex-champ Jamel Herring landed back in the win column with a bang, decking the upstart in the opening act since his last victory lap in 2021.

American boxing ace Jamel Herring, sporting a 24-4, 12 KOs record, delivered a knockout blow to compatriot Nicholas Molina, who boasted a 13-1, 5 KOs tally, in a welterweight clash tipping the scales at 59 kg. Herring wasted no time bringing the heat, dropping Molina not once but twice, with the second tumble causing a nose shatter. The ref called time, waving off the fight and sealing Herring's knockout comeback.

It's been a stretch since Herring's fists raised a storm—his previous triumph was over Carl Frampton in 2021. Following that, he tasted defeat against Shakur Stevenson via a technical stoppage and bowed out to Jamaine Ortiz's verdict. Molina, 24, strutted into the ring undefeated, only to have his record smudged by Herring's gloves.
