Dovbyshchenko: "Hughie Tries to Copy Tyson Fury"

Ukrainian heavyweight Konstantin Dovbyshchenko (10-15-1, 7 KOs) commented on the upcoming fight against Hughie Fury (26-3, 15 KOs).

- How did the offer to fight Hughie Fury come about? Or was it announced shortly before the fight date?

- The offer to fight Fury Junior came a month before the fight.

- Can Fury be considered your strongest opponent to date?

- Whether that's true or if he's really strong, I'll only be able to say after the fight. But that he's experienced and the most titled among all my previous opponents, plus having a solid record of previous fights – that's for sure.

- What strengths of his can you point out?

- His strengths are his anthropometry and an awkward style. In this, he tries to copy his brother Tyson. The fight will definitely be interesting, and from my side, I will do everything to win, to give a beautiful fight to boxing fans. Thank you all for your support. Thank you to the Armed Forces of Ukraine! Glory to Ukraine!

The fight will take place on April 20th at the Magna Centre, Rotherham, England. Hughie Fury last boxed in October 2021, defeating German Christian Hammer (27-11, 17 KOs). The fight ended after the 5th round – Hammer was unable to continue due to a bicep injury. Konstantin Dovbyshchenko lost to Briton Jamie Chikewe (6-1, 3 KOs) in February.
