Donaire Regrets Not Meeting Loma and Two Other Boxers

Former world champion in five weight categories, Nonito Donaire (42-7, 28 KOs), named three opponents he once wanted to meet in the ring, but it never happened.

"When I and Loma were in the super bantamweight division, we had such an opportunity. I thought it would be cool. But then it didn't happen, and then I moved up in weight for possible fights with Leo Santa Cruz and Abner Mares. That's the trio," said Donaire.

Nonito fought in the super bantamweight division in 2013, 2014, 2017, and 2018. Lomachenko competed in this division until 2015. Donaire last boxed in 2023, losing by decision to Alejandro Santiago.
