The British heavyweight boxer Dillian White commented on his victory over the American Jermaine Franklin and said that he does not intend to have a rematch with him.
“Franklin is definitely in the top 15. He is a good fighter, but there are equals. I knew what I had to do. I knew he had the hand speed and the pedigree and stuff. But with my experience, I knew exactly what I needed to do to win."
"Enough talking about rematch. Yes, there was a fight, it was a close fight. But I clearly won, so why do I need a rematch?"
It will be recalled that White defeated Franklin by referee's decision. 115-115, 116-112, 116-112 - in favor of White.
Promoter Eddie Hearn believes that in no case can it be said that Franklin was condemned in a fight with White.
Now White, most likely, will become the next opponent of ex-world champion Anthony Joshua.
