"F****** Disgrace": Froch Blasts Paul Over Tyson Fight

Former champion and current boxing analyst Carl Froch has heavily criticized 27-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul (10-1, 7 KOs) for deciding to fight former undisputed world champion Mike Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs), who recently turned 58.

"This idiot ‘Fake Paul’ pretends to be a boxer, but let’s be honest, he’s had only one professional boxing match, if you can even call it that, and it was against a novice pro, Tommy Fury, where he lost. He lost quite comfortably. Some people say it was close, but in the end, he struggled big time against Tommy Fury and lost – that’s on the official records, and that’s what matters.

He’s at a low level; he can’t call himself a professional boxer, even though he keeps trying to. I’m not mad at it; I get what he’s doing – he’s making money and knows how to do it, so credit to him for that. But does he take himself seriously as a professional boxer? Unfortunately, I think he does, and that’s a f****** disgrace because he’s about to fight a 58-year-old Mike Tyson while he’s only 26," Froch said.

The eight-round fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson is scheduled for November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, USA. The fight was originally set for July 20 but was postponed due to a flare-up of Tyson’s ulcer.

The matchup has been officially sanctioned as a professional heavyweight bout (over 90.7 kg), with the result to be recorded in the fighters’ official records. The event will be streamed on Netflix.

Earlier, Mike Tyson stated that he is taking Jake seriously.
