Dillian Whyte Shares Strategy Fury Could Use Against Usyk

British heavyweight boxer Dillian Whyte has shared his thoughts on how Tyson Fury should approach his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk.

– Do you think Fury can correct his mistakes and beat Usyk?

– I think he can, but it’s going to be very difficult. If Tyson comes in weighing around 115 kg and uses his size—fighting like he did against Steve Cunningham or in his second fight with Deontay Wilder—being aggressive, mixing styles, and putting pressure on Usyk, that’s his best chance.

But if he fights on the back foot, forget about those chances.

The problem is, you can’t just charge at Usyk. Oleksandr moves exceptionally well, has great timing, pinpoint accuracy, and incredible focus. I think Fury needs to make the fight chaotic. He must leverage his physical and mental advantages to disrupt Usyk and force him out of his comfort zone.

– He’s Ukrainian.

– Yes, Ukrainian. Sorry, my mistake. But even in the toughest moments of the fight, Usyk didn’t fall apart. He took a hit, recovered in seconds, and immediately resumed his offensive style. Some fighters take a hit and retreat—not him. He just kept coming forward. That was impressive.

The rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury is scheduled for December 21 in Saudi Arabia.
