Dillian Whyte Eyes a Comeback Fight Against a Former Foe of Joyce, Yoka, and Ortiz

Boxing Scene reports that British heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte (29-3, 19 KOs) is poised for a return to the ring, squaring off against German boxer Christian Hammer (27-10, 17 KOs). The bout is tentatively scheduled for March 17th in Ireland and is expected to be the marquee matchup of the evening.

"I'm excited to make my return, especially to have my first fight in Ireland. Over the last four years, I've only had four fights, so it's time to ramp things up again. Just look at how well Joseph Parker and Anthony Joshua are doing, keeping busy and showing great form," Whyte shared.

Whyte last entered the ring in the fall of 2022, securing a judges' decision win over Jermaine Franklin. He was slated to face Anthony Joshua afterwards, but the match fell through due to a positive doping test for Whyte. By early 2024, Whyte had been cleared of these charges.

Hammer, on the other hand, last fought in the summer of 2022, succumbing to Joe Joyce via technical knockout. Now, as Whyte looks to rejuvenate his career, this upcoming battle against Hammer in Ireland represents not just a return to form but also a chance to remind the boxing world of his prowess and determination to climb back to the top.
