Dillian Whyte Shares Reasons for His Comeback

Former world heavyweight title contender British boxer Dillian Whyte (29-3, 19 KOs) is making a comeback after nearly a two-year hiatus. He shared his plans for what he intends to do if he wins the fight against Christian Hammer (27-10, 17 KOs).

"I'm really excited about my return. I'll continue to look for opportunities. I've long dreamed of coming back to Ireland because I have relatives here who can also participate in the boxing evening.

Christian Hammer is a tough guy. He's had a lot of fights. This is an excellent match, especially considering I've been away for 16 months. A very good fight for a comeback.

I still want to get the world title and want to be involved in big fights. There are a lot of good matchups happening right now.

I want to be put back on the list of top fighters. I know I can still beat these guys," said Whyte.

The fight will take place on March 17 in Castlebar, Ireland.

Whyte hasn't fought since 2022. He won against Jermaine Franklin by decision and was later supposed to meet Anthony Joshua, but he failed a doping test. In early March, Dillian was allowed to resume his boxing career.
